Korean Hair Care Brands
Korean hair care starts at the scalp rather than at the hair itself. The shampoo is where most of the routine happens, and what you leave on afterwards counts as much as what you rinse out.
The two Korean hair care brands we stock
Becon is a professional line — the kind supplied to salons and clinics in Korea rather than stacked on a drugstore shelf. It is made by COSMAX. You choose the shampoo that matches your scalp, and the conditioner and scalp ampoule are the same in every set.
REBECOCO is the fermented-botanical one. Its Golden Drip complex is built on hwangchil — Dendropanax morbifera, an evergreen that grows on Jeju Island and Korea's southern coast — blended with fermented herb concentrates. Two steps: a shampoo you rinse out, and a tonic you leave on.
Which one to start with
Between them they cover most of what people come to Korean hair care products for: a shampoo worked into the scalp rather than only through the lengths, and a leave-on step afterwards. If you would rather be matched by scalp type, start with Becon. If the ingredient story is what draws you, start with REBECOCO. Almost nobody needs both.
We are a Korean gift shop in Dallas, Texas, and we ship nationwide. Both lines sit on the shelf here as well, so if you are new to Korean shampoo and not sure which suits you, ask us.
